FRIENDS OF THE TREES SOCIETY (FTS) is a small, grassroots non-profit which has been operating continually since 1978— twenty-seven years of service to the trees and to tree-lovers worldwide. Our work has touched over 100,000 people so far.

Some of our key programs over the years include:

  • tree sales and exchanges
  • seed collection, production and sales of Northwest native plants and medicinal herbs
  • publishing
  • organizing conferences and events
  • educational workshops on many plant-related topics
  • permaculture design courses
  • organic farm apprenticeship programs
  • Travelers Earth Repair Network
  • networking on local, regional, national and international levels.

Currently, one of our main foci is sustainable wildcrafting and organic growing of medicinal herbs.

We hope you find something of interest and use on the FRIENDS OF THE TREES website.
