Living Systems Design integrates on-site water management into an economically viable, holistic, closed system. We work with clients whose objectives are to manage water influences on commercial and residential developments.
We analyze the topographic, geologic, meteorological, solar and social aspects of the site. We review and respond to soil conditions, plantings, lifestyles, budgets, regulations, construction impacts, and available local and regional resources and constraints.
Working through the hydrological flows of a site allows us to address up to 75% of the ecological impacts of a developmental project. We accomplish this by retaining positive features of existing hydrology, retention and management of water onsite through increasing permeability and diverting water into productive, economic and aesthetic uses.
