Northwest EcoBuilding Guild
From PIW
boczelc The Northwest EcoBuilding Guild is an association of builders, designers, homeowners, tradespeople, manufacturers, suppliers and others interested in ecologically sustainable building.
Our members are doing it! Many of our members have years of on-the-ground practical experience with ecobuilding and are dealing every day with ecobuilding in their professional lives. Our membership includes nationally and regionally recognized leaders in their aspect of ecobuilding as well as interested beginners.
In addition to their daily participation in ecobuilding, Guild members hold local chapter meetings, put on workshops, stay in touch with each other through this website and contribute its rich body of material, have a wonderful annual retreat, and publish the Green Pages, a directory of members and their environmentally friendly services and products.
The Northwest EcoBuilding Guild was founded in 1993 by a small group of people who were already incorporating Green building ideas into their practices. They formed the Guild for the purpose of networking and exchanging areas of expertise. Since then, the Guild has grown to seven chapters around the northwest. A vital organization, its mission is to function as an educational forum to facilitate building practices that:
- protect human health
- encourage sustainable resource usage
- foster long-term economic vitality
We invite you to join us to both support this mission and gain the benefits of Guild membership.
