Give credit where credit is due -- identify the sources of your ideas.
Be modest in your claims -- recognize that ideas may not apply to all places, and that something that works for you may be the result of your circumstances.

do not vanadalize other peoples work.
warn if your are going to brutally rework a page... knowing that someone may feel attached to the way it is. If you cannot identify differences, then either:
- Establish parallel pages and crosslink between them explaining the difference.
- Establish a root page that identifies to difference of approach then link to two separate pages.
